QTS is an electronic case transcription service that improves the efficiency of casework reporting. Any day, any time caseworkers can call a toll-free telephone number and dictate case narratives anywhere in the United States. The dictations are digitally recorded, transcribed and electronically transmitted to your office within 24 to 48 hours.

Digital Recording. QTS integrates seamlessly with any electronic or manual case-recording system. Output options include word processing files; custom databases that capture documents for printing, archiving and editing; and direct transmission into your child welfare or human services system. The entire process is completely automated with easy-to-follow prompts. No writing. No typing. And, confidentiality is guaranteed through our advanced security features.

Electronic Transcription. SMI recognizes the critical nature of casework records; we diligently work to ensure that the information entrusted to us is completed accurately, confidentially, and in a timely manner. Completed documents are reviewed against the transcription for quality control to ensure that what is typed is what was heard and that unclear words have been left out only when necessary.

Electronic Transmission. The transcribed, encrypted file is transmitted within 24 to 48 hours of dictation time, earlier if required. It is transmitted only to the caseworker who originated the transcription and has the unique, assigned password QTS is cost-effective and the flat per-line fee makes it easy to analyze costs.
