Each day, SMI strives to create end-to-end solutions that meet our clients need and exceed their expectations. SMI has strong values that influence our business culture and provides a comfortable, productive and fulfilling work environment for our employees. Using our trademarked software applications, SMI provides innovative solutions to the human services sector and continues to enhance each and every product we have developed as the needs of our government partners change and expand.

SMI understands the program, policies and practices that are essential to child welfare management. Our solution meets the specific needs of each child welfare agency rather than simply providing a “one system fits all” integration. SMI offers you software developments and enhancement technology, training, project management and an experienced staff to develop a true “fit” with regards to your requirements and the flexibility to customize our product to meet your needs. We identify the best technologies to match your goals and budgets and ensure that those technologies continue to work well into the future.

SMI’s web-based system was initially designed as an interim solution to collect information regarding child welfare cases in 1989 and was a basic tracking mechanism for social services programs. Over the years, the system has been enhanced to meet child welfare federal and state reporting mandates. Change is inevitable. We adapt to that and make sure you are always using the most current and up-to-date technology available. Our system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we are responsible for all system maintenance and help desk functions.

To assist them in preparing timely and accurate case notes, SMI offers QTS for 24/7 digital transcription of audio case notes. QTS is easy and convenient to use - and secure.

Children are the center of what we do. They greatly depend on the services caseworkers across the nation provide. These social services professionals bear tremendous responsibility in their critical roles of ensuring the most appropriate, as well as safest, future for our children. At SMI, we understand this critical need and are committed to “going the extra mile” for our state partners and the families they serve.
